I have a room in a nice place that is about 2 blocks from North Boulder Park, and thus within easy walking of Pearl St. (I walk all over all the time). Hop down to Broadway and you can shop at Ideal Market or catch a bus directly to the University (or anywhere else)! The neighborhood is very quiet. It is near 4th and Alpine, so it is literally 1 block from a trailhead to the Mt Sanitas trail and some lovely open space. Truly, there is not much more to wish for in terms of location.
The place is a 2 bedroom apartment on the lower level of a two level house. Either room is available depending upon your tastes. One room has a direct access to the patio and back yard, has nice natural light, but is the smaller room.
The second room Being cut into the side of the hill, the second bedroom is more of a basement room, has only a single window, and is somewhat dim, but it is quite large. Also, the second room is wonderfully insulated and quiet.
The back yard is very beautiful and is maintained by the landlord who lives next door. The house is on an alley, so you can park in a private double space in the back if you have a car.
There is a sliding glass door in the living area with access to the patio, and a side door off of the kitchen. The kitchen is nice, double sink, maple cabinets, gas appliances, and granite countertops. There is a stacked washer/dryer in the utility room.
Your roommate would be a forty-something female professional nanny who works outside of the apartment. She is clean, green, and sweet. She does yoga, is very eco-conscious, and left-thinking. She would prefer a female roommate, but a “nice” male would work (I am male, so I can vouch for that).
FYI I am the soon to be ex-roommate trying to help her find someone to replace me.
